Removal of Existing Tiles

Many of our jobs involve updating rooms that already have tiles in them. Although sometimes these areas can be tiled over, there are some instances where removal of existing tiles iseither the only or the most preferred option. This is a service we provide.

Re-plastering or re-boarding walls

Removing existing or problem tiles can often cause further problems for what is behind the tiles, the substrate. Usually this involves re-plastering of boarding out of these walls. We can identify these problems, advise on the possible solutions and undertake the appropriate and agreed action.

Tanking

Tanking systems provide a waterproof membrane that prevents water from penetrating into the substrate and causing structural damage, damp problems, tile failure and mould. We can advise clients when having such a system would be beneficial to them.

Underfloor Heating

Underfloor heating provides efficient room heating and, of course, a warm floor for your feet, first thing in the morning. We can lay underfloor heating systems to any room in your home, although you will need a qualified electrician to wire it up to the mains.

Overboarding

We can overboard and strengthen floors to be tiled to ensure that the sub floor is in an adequate state to be tiles, and so your tiles will not become unstable over time due to a weak floor.

Levelling

We often encounter concrete or screeded floors that are not flat enough to provide the finish that clients desire. We can, using self level compound, ensure that such floors are as flat as possible before we begin tiling.
